Staging Tip: 4 Ways to Lighten Up For Spring!
Staging Tip: 4 Ways to Lighten Up For Spring!
Ditch the
heavy curtains! The spring is no time for heavy curtains; Lighten up a bit with blinds, white sheer curtains, or completely unfiltered sun light with
open windows- nothing beats that!
Smell
like the season. Embrace the smells of spring flowers instead of warm, fresh
baked cookies for open houses. As lovely as the smell of chocolate chip cookies might be, it only intensifies heat in the
spring and summer temps. We love lavender; lilac smells, instead of heavier smells like vanilla, or apple cinnamon.
Neutrals +
pastels. Most staged homes operate safely in within the neutral space. In the spring time, pastels provide the perfect compliment to a neutral
base. Try accent pillows in light yellow, light green or blue- just don’t
overdue it or else it will look like Easter all season long.
Love the
Outdoors. In the winter, homes for sale can be forgiven for a lack of curb
appeal. With the cold temps, its hard for anything to grow. In the spring time, those
excuses won't work. Some level of curb
appeal is expected by most potential homebuyers. So, go ahead- take a trip to your local garden
shop for colorful, seasonal, large petal flowers. A large pot of seasonals on the porch can make a big difference.
