Natural Inspiration

It’s that time of year; the trees begin to dance with shimmering yellows, burnt oranges, ravishing reds, and many more… fall has arrived! Let the new changes in mother-nature inspire you to make some new changes in your personal environment. Maybe you are tired of your furniture, spatial layout, color palette, or even basic design accessories? No worries, these are inexpensive and easy to solve complaints. Instead of investing in new furniture, first attempt re-arranging your existing space. See if you can angle your sofa a different way, bring furniture from the dining room into the family room, don’t be afraid to mix things up a little; You’ll be surprised to discover how certain pieces of furniture, as well as design accessories can be extremely multi-functional, creating totally new enjoyable environments. If that still doesn’t do the trick, consider re-furbishing items and try to bring in a new color to your space- in a new or old accessory, a throw pillow or blanket, or even on an accent wall. Take a peek out your windows and see if any colors inspire you. While gazing out your window, be sure that your yard isn’t being neglected… although the changing leaves are lovely, and cool weather may keep you indoors, a neglected front yard (un-raked leaves, un-mowed yard) can become a deterrent to potential homebuyers. Feel free to introduce the classic fall-items inside and out: pumpkins, gourds, cinnamon sticks, and apple cider, the aroma and beauty of nature is sure to please.
